Weekend Creative Retreat
Landscape of the Heart

As the autumn colours draw in the light this retreat is an opportunity to take time to be quiet and awaken our senses to our changing inner and outer landscapes. By creating the space to open our imagination to new and unexpected territory, and listening deeply, we discover the stories our hearts are nurturing right now.
The Retreat
Short periods of sitting meditation will interweave and flow into creating spontaneously, responding to our experience in each moment. Our creative expression may include image making, reflective and creative writing, and movement. Drawing inspiration from the truly unique and stunning landscape of Eden Rise, which is beautiful whatever the weather.
Story Making
On Saturday afternoon Sara will lead us on a journey to discover our stories. Taking time in nature we will enliven our senses to respond to the landscape and uncover our own stories, both imaginal and personal. At the meeting point of place, person, creativity and expression, words, images and ideas will be gathered in a variety of ways and new tools for finding inspiration in the landscape may be discovered.
Later that evening we will gather to celebrate the season. Sara will tell stories by the fireside and help to develop the found stories to tell if you so wish, together with whatever songs, poems and other creative gifts the group wishes to share.
No previous experience is necessary and all materials will be provided. Sharing of stories and other creative work will be completely voluntary.
The retreat will run from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. Exact times to be confirmed.
£160 fully residential, all-inclusive
Early Bird: £150 if booked by 1st October
£125 non- residential, 2 lunches and 2 suppers included

Meals will be vegetarian made from locally sourced produce.
There is a sauna at Eden Rise that can be used for a small additional cost.
